Away from city traffic and the crowds, the sound of horses along the trail sets a slower, more peaceful rhythm. You move through areas that still keep the feel of traditional village life.
Made for first-time riders — and still worth it if you ride
This is a scenic leisure ride rather than professional riding training. The pace is relaxed and adapted to the group, and some sections are done at a calm walk so everyone can take in the surroundings and feel comfortable with their horse.
Never been on a horse?
You'll learn to sit comfortably in the saddle, hold the reins, stop and turn. For many first-time riders, gaining confidence on horseback becomes one of the most memorable parts of the day.

Horses are matched to each participant's experience and confidence level. If you already ride, you can relax and enjoy the Albanian landscape from a different perspective.

What the day looks like
Roughly five hours, door to door.

Pick-up
The day starts with pick-up from your assigned meeting point in Tirana, Durrës or Golem. The drive passes small villages, fields and rolling hills before reaching the riding site.

Meet the horses
On arrival you meet the local horse keepers and are introduced to the horses.

Safety briefing
Before the ride you get basic safety instructions and guidance on how to approach, mount and steer your horse.

The ride
You ride along peaceful rural trails. The route varies with the weather, trail conditions and the group's experience level.

Stops along the way
You can stop to enjoy the view, take photos and spend time with the horses. The guide or horse keeper stays close by and helps when needed.

Afterwards
After the ride there is time to relax, and depending on the schedule a refreshment or a photo stop.

Along the route you pass farmland, pastures, local farms, orchards, village roads and viewpoints. Open fields, rolling hills, farms and traditional houses. The experience is informal, peaceful and comfortable, without needing to hurry.
